A 40 anni dalla morte di Jimi Hendrix, la figura di questo leggendario chitarrista sarà ricordata con una mostra, video inediti e con il concerto del più importante tributo ad Hendrix esistente al mondo. Randy Hansen, conosciuto dal grande pubblico nel 1979 quando ha composto 17 minuti della colonna sonora del film Apocalypse Now, si è guadagnato elogi in tutto il mondo per il suo "Rock Tribute Act" a Jimi Hendrix, per la sua somiglianza fisica e per la capacità di emulare lo stile hendrixiano alla perfezione. Uno tra i pochi musicisti ufficialmente riconosciuti dalla famiglia Hendrix, Randy Hansen vanta prestigiose collaborazioni tra cui Buddy Miles, Herbie Hancoock, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, Noel Redding e Mitch Mitchell. Funambolico chitarrista, Randy Hansen continua a suonare incessantemente in tutto il mondo e, per questo anniversario, si esibirà al suo fianco Leon Hendrix che, per la sua prima volta in Europa, racconterà la sua infanzia ed adolescenza a Seattle con il fratello Jimi e l'incredibile, ma purtroppo breve, parabola artistica del grandissimo musicista che per lui era semplicemente l'adorato fratello maggiore.

For the 40^th Jimi Hendrix’s death Anniversary Trasimeno Blues remembers this legendary guitarist hosting a special event on December 4^th at “Darsena Bar Caffè” venue in Castiglione del Lago (Perugia). An amazing event that consist of an art exhibition, the projection of unpublished video and a live concert by the excellent guitarist from Seattle Randy Hansen who has acquired himself quite a reputation as one of the best Hendrix tribute acts in the world. Randy Hansen looks like Jimi and performs such signatures of Hendrix's style as playing a guitar with his teeth or behind his back. Best known when in 1979 he composed 17 minutes of Apocalypse Now soundtrack, he achieved huge honours for his "Rock Tribute Act" honouring Jimi Hendrix thanks his great energy and he is one of the few players officially recognized by the Hendrix family. Many are his prestigious artistic collaborations whit great musicians such as Steve Milller, Buddy Miles, Herbie Hancoock, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, Noel Redding e Mitch Mitchell. Randy Hansen plays all over the world and for this anniversary he will perform with Leon Hendrix who, for his first time in Europe, will tell the story of his childhood and teens in Seattle with his brother Jimi and the incredible but short artistic life of the immense musician who was for him simply the so loved big brother.

The event will start at 7.30 p.m. with the art exhibition opening and the video projection. Randy Hansen & Leon Hendrix performance will start at 10.30 p.m. The music selection is by ClaudioDueLune (vinyl).
