RAFFAELLO A TODI, LA MOSTRA IMPOSSIBILE - RAFFAELLO THE PAINTER IN TODI, THE IMPOSSIBLE EXHIBITION
"Raffaello a Todi. La Mostra Impossibile"
Dal 16 aprile al 28 agosto, presso il palazzo del Vignola, uno straordinario evento dedicato a Raffaello.
Una mostra virtuale dedicata al grande artista urbinate nella terra in cui si è formato e ha operato che raccoglie ben 38 opere tra le più significative.
Finora un affresco, un quadro o una pala d'altare potevano essere compiutamente ammirati soltanto sul posto. Ora invece, impiegando tecniche digitali, è possibile porre lo spettatore virtualmente di fronte all'opera d'arte realizzando un sogno a lungo coltivato da studiosi, critici e appassionati: poter vedere in uno stesso luogo le opere di un grande artista spesso disseminate in decine di musei, chiese e collezioni private di tutto il mondo.
Corona la mostra una straordinaria rassegna di film e documentari sulla vita e l’opera di Raffaello. Da non perdere!!

RAFFAELLO, THE IMPOSSIBLE JOURNEY IN TODI CITY UP TO THE 28TH OF AUGUST.
Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino(April 6 or March 28, 1483 – April 6, 1520[3]), better known simply as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance, celebrated for the perfection and grace of his paintings and drawings. Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period.
An extraordinary event dedicated to him in Umbria where the artist has formed and operated.
All the works of Raphael Sanzio (1483-1520) can be admired in all their splendor in the Raphael exhibition, the exhibition possible. Entering the exhibition space, the public will be accompanied on a fascinating journey of discovery of his life and his art.
Sponsored by Marte Association non-profit organization and RAI Italian Television, with the support and cooperation of the Umbria Region and the Municipality of Todi, in the prestigious Palazzo del Vignola of Todi, the exhibition brings together all the works of master Urbino played in high definition scale 1.1, and placed along a route chronological and thematic.
A journey 'impossible', including paintings and murals scattered in museums, churches and private collections around the world. Through this project, curated by Renato Parascandolo, produced by RAI in collaboration with the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, the works of Raphael are now accessible in one place.
The frescoes and paintings, reproduced in digital technology with advanced high-definition, in strict compliance with the size, color and light originals, are finally reunited realizing a dream long-cherished by scholars, critics and fans.
In a beautiful setting, nice and signed by a famous contemporary artist, Bruno Ceccobelli, the exhibition follows a chronological and thematic shows the artistic life of Raphael, the period of his artistic training in Urbino and Perugia, the period Siena and Florence, until final Roman period. Among the exhibits stand out for their impressive frescoes and paintings of great size as the Transfiguration (cm. 405x278), The Triumph of Galatea (cm 295 x 224) and Christ brought to the tomb (184x176 cm). With a picturesque location of the fresco The School of Athens (cm.772x550) in a special section.
The exhibition also includes an extraordinary series of films and documentaries on the life and work of Raphael, and a website (www. raffaello.rai.it.). The visit is also illustrated by examples from the time of Raphael and a rich anthology of criticism from 1500 to 1900, from Vasari to Bellori, Goethe, Delacroix Longhi.
The artistic director of the exhibition is Ferdinando Bologna.
