JOE DAMIANI TRIO Sings Modugno

Musician, drummer and multi-instrumentalist in the soul Joe Damiani graduated at the Consertvatory of Parma where he studies percussions. He works in some of the big lyrics orchestra and he takes part in some operas. In this time, also, he studies in depth others instruments as piano, vibraphone, marimba and the singing. In the next years he goes in Holland where he records two albums with the duo Alex and Joe with the artist Al Noiret (Dureco Benelux). In Italy Joe collaborates as drummer and percussionist with artists as Mauro Pagani, Cristiano De Andrè, Paola Turci, Gianluca Grignani, Massimo Ranieri, Roberto Vecchioni, Morgan, Giuliano Sangiorgi (Negramaro), Eugenio Finardi, Cristina Donà and others. In January 2000, at last, Joe works as author, musician, and performer of his songs. He publishes his first song “Vivo nella notte” (Azzurra Music). In the summer 2001 Joe publishes his second song “Parole Bellissime” (Azzurra Music) included in his first album “Senza Fiato” “a mediation between the rhythm of rock and a new melody of Italian’s pop”. The second album “Linea di confine” (D’Autore) is publish in May 2003 and it’s completely arranged from Joe. In July 2004 is published the song and the video of “Il Pirata” (JD Music). Of 2007, however, “Un Buon Motivo” (JD/SELF) from which it extracts different songs: “Tu sei Matto” (JD/SELF), “Ma succede” (JD/SELF), "Dillo adesso" (JD/SELF), and in May 2009 “Stelle al Sole” (also translated in Soles Immensos, a Spanish version). In 2008 Joe wins Premio Piazza Erbe (in Verona) where, in memory of the 50th anniversary of “Volare”, Joe plays in the key etno/folk some famous songs of Domenico Modugno. At the end of May 2009, Joe is acclaimed by the public at the Italian Embassy of Madrid where he proposed his interpretation etno/folk of Modugno and pieces from his 3 albums. In 2010 is published his new song: “Piove” better know as “ciao ciao bambina”. This song, for the unmistakable Joe’s voice, is a revisiting in key etno/folk and Reggae and anticipated the album: “Joe Damiani Trio Canta Modugno (vol. I)”, a very beautiful tribute to Domenico Modugno in which Damiani puts together his different souls Rock, Pop, Etno Folk in a raising of rhythms and feelings.
