Hollywood superstars Sharon Stone and Jeremy Irons narrate a theatrical evening with music called Seduction, Smoke and Music. Chronicling the love story of renowned composer Frédéric Chopin and infamous French writer and feminist Amandine-Lucile-Aurore Dupin, known as George Sand, the performance explores the development of their unusual relationship over a decade. Sharon Stone, as the unconventional and controversial cigar smoking George Sand, and Jeremy Irons, as the celebrated pianist and composer, read letters exchanged between the lovers in an evening accompanied and illustrated by the music of Chopin and his contemporaries.

Performed in English, with written translation. Approximately 80 minutes without interval.

Masters of Wine with James Suckling

This exclusive wine tasting, lecture and superb dinner will be hosted by James Suckling, former Senior Editor and European Bureau Chief of the Wine Spectator, with some of the region’s top winemakers. It will take place at Michelin-starred restaurant Relais Il Falconiere, which is surrounded by the Baracchi vineyards, a stunning setting that could be a scene from a Tuscan painting.

The Tuscan Sun Festival officially opens with a gala dinner hosted by the Ferragamo family at the Il Borro winery. Since 1999, the Ferragamo family, with the help of enologist Niccolo D’Afflitto, has been working to develop the blend of their best grapes. Experienced cheese maker Romano Magi will lead you through a fascinating gastronomic garden of flavours while teaching how to make your own cheese in a short time. The Cooking with… series of cooking demonstrations are a highlight of the Festival.
